As promised, here’s another weekly summer Friday cocktail and cannabis pairing by our friend and expert resident budtender, Aaron Gordon from 13th Street Cocktails. Named Morgan’s Pier, this cocktail’s sweet watermelon flavor goes great with the sweet, flowery flavor profile of Kandy Kush cannabis. All that sweetness is then nicely balanced out with the herbal/anise flavor of Thai basil and a little kick of ginger juice and chile/lime salt.Morgan's Pier 3

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz vodka (we like Tito’s)
  • ¾ oz simple syrup
  • ¾ oz lime juice
  • ¼ ginger juice
  • 2” watermelon chunk

Add above ingredients and a few Thai basil leaves to shaker. Give a heavy shake so the ice properly breaks up the watermelon chunk, then strain into rocks glass over several fresh cubes of ice. Salt half the rim of the glass with Mexican chile or lime salt (we like Tajín Clásico Seasoning). Garnish with a sprig of Thai basil. Pair with Kandy Kush cannabis.
