In celebration of their 130th anniversary, Swiss-based watch retailer Bucherer has created an exclusive capsule collection of watches all focused around the color blue, and the latest of the so called “Blue Editions” is a collaboration with Swiss watchmaker Tudor for a unique take on their classic Heritage Black Bay timepiece.
Similar to the original, the new Heritage Black Bay Bronze Blue watch replaces the brown dial and aluminum disc set casing of the bronze bezel in favor of a gorgeous blue dial and disc, creating a beautiful contrast that really makes the watch’s colors pop. They then finished it off with a new blue and bronze fabric strap along with a special commemorative engraving on the back to help bring the elegant design to life.
As for mechanics and size, those remain the same as the standard Tudor MT5601 dive watch, with a chronometer-certified, in-house Swiss movement built with a silicon balance spring housed in a 43mm casing and waterproof for up to 200 m (660 ft.).
The new watch is currently available exclusively through Bucherer for a hefty $3,850 price tag. Expensive, sure, but then again, it is a Tudor. One that can no doubt be passed down from one generation to the next as a classic reminder of the style and panache you obviously have. Er, had.
