When we last wrote about Nike’s push to deliver those highly coveted power laces that Marty McFly wore in 1989’s hit classic Back to the Future II, the only way to get your hands on a pair of Nike Air Mags was to buy them on eBay for a staggering price tag. And even if you could afford them, there were only 1,500 to be had, with the money going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Great cause, to be sure, but not so great for all those sneakerheads dreaming of power lacing their own pair ever since the movie came out.

Well almost a year later and roughly 17 years after they first appeared, Nike is finally making power laces available to the masses in the form of the Nike HyperAdapt 1.0.

According to a recent tweet from Heidi Burgett, Nike’s global Communications Director, the Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 will be available for “experience & purchase” beginning November 28th, but only by appointment in select Nike locations throughout the U.S. How much you’ll pay for them is still unknown, but you can get a better look and preview of how they’ll operate in this awesome clip by WIRED Magazine. “Great Scott” indeed!
