STRAIN OVERVIEW

Just like its name suggests, Jillybean truly is a chock full of fun and games, but don’t get it confused with jellybean, as it’s not named after the beloved candy, but rather the beloved breeder herself—”MzJill,” the self-proclaimed ”First Lady” of TGA Genetics.

According to MzJill in a story she wrote for High Times, Jillybean is the result of a collaboration between her and another female grower at TGA Genetics, nicknamed “ToB.” The two got together and crossed Orange Velvet and Space Queen, resulting in a terrifically well-rounded strain whose popularity has only continued to grow over the past few years, and for good reason.

Jillybean’s buds are deeply rich and green and come densely covered in gorgeous, curly orange/red hairs, creating an almost orange-brown hue that emanates throughout the leaves. And once you take a whiff of them, you’ll notice a strong, pungent smell mixed in with hints of sweet mango and tropical orange, which is rather reflective of its sweet, candy-like taste that also comes with hints of fruity orange and mango

THE HIGH

As we mentioned above, Jillybean’s popularity has grown immensely over the past couple of years, particularly amongst the creative set, as its 60/40 sativa-dominant split creates a moderate yet euphoric head high that comes with rather limited indica body effects. Ideal for socializing and creativity, it’s a great upbeat daytime strain that’s sure to boost your mood and provide the perfect kick of energy you need to help get things done.

MEDICAL BENEFITS

With rather low CBD levels (less than 1%), Jillybean isn’t very effective at treating seizures, but it is effective at helping people cope with anxiety, stress, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, and even certain types of minimal pain, particularly migraines.
