Now in its fourth year, the Cadillac House—a showroom and public arts space located in New York’s downtown Soho neighborhood—is known for offering trendy exhibits in the arts, culture, fashion, and culinary worlds, and its latest exhibit once again promises to impress and delight both locals and tourists alike.
Dubbed “Summer in Winter,” the new 1,000 square foot space is a lush botanical garden landscape that merges species and typologies from 37 countries and 7 continents. Medicinal plants from the Amazon, Southern African succulents, and even sacred Buddhist rainforest trees are just some of the many plant species on display, offering up a garden-filled wonderland in the concrete jungle that is New York City.
The exhibit was created in partnership with Visionaire and designed by Lily Kwong, the popular landscape artist behind last year’s beautiful quarter-mile long floral sculpture on the High Line.
“I’m an alchemist, a landscape designer and a humanist,” said Kwong. “My purpose is to reconnect people to nature. My medium is plant life.”
And so is ours. And yours we’re assuming, so if you’re in the area, we highly reco checking it out. The entire exhibit is free and open until January 16th. You can check out some pictures of the exhibit below and get more info. here.
