Kith, the popular NYC-based streetwear label and collaborative king of the fashion world, doubled down on those collaborations with an impressive showing last week at NY Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2018.
Taking place at Brooklyn Navy Yard’s Duggal Greenhouse, the show, dubbed “KITH PARK,” was Kith’s third-ever fashion show and featured notable collaborations with designers like Tommy Hilfiger, Versace, UGG, Columbia, and even luxury department store Bergdorf Goodman, marking the second time the two have worked together. There were a slew of notable stars in attendance too, including LeBron James, Kevin Love, 2 Chainz, and Justin Bieber, whose newly minted fiancee, Hailey Baldwin, represented the Kith x Tommy Hilfiger collection as Hilfiger’s newest brand ambassador.
The Hilfiger segment worked the label’s iconic 1990s looks hard, with Baldwin playing the role of popular school girl reading a book on stage as models strutted in Kithed-out Tommy Hilfiger pieces, including rugbys and preppie color-block tees and parkas with a Kith “K” replacing the famous Tommy “T” of the 90s.
After Hilfiger and the other designer collabs made their appearances, curtains closed and seats transitioned to reveal the grand gates of a mini Versace mansion. Led by Bella Hadid in cropped biker shorts and a cropped puffer jacket, models followed suit showing off coveted archive prints and cuts from the popular 90s designer, including Kith/Versace faux furs, velvet tracksuits, and even Salehe Bembury-designed footwear with the Kith x Versace branding.
As a final wrap-up, Kith founder Ronnie Fieg also got in on the Versace action, showing his gratitude for the evening’s star collaborator with an encore on-stage bow in head-to-toe Kith x Versace, including a long-sleeve polo, footwear, scarf, and even a hat that read simply “Donatella,” offering a proper nod of respect toward the label’s reigning queen of the throne.
