Vetements x DHL Capsule Collection ($660-$840)
Last month, the popular Parisian collective label Vetements joined forces with an unlikely partner—the delivery service DHL—for a unique fashion show at Germany’s Leipzig Airport. The show saw DHL’s shipping hub transformed into a red and yellow catwalk that had models strutting pieces from a limited-edition “Vetements x DHL Capsule Collection.” Headlined as “Fashion Meets Logistics,” the showcase was designed to provide a glimpse behind the scenes of fashion logistics, and while many of the pieces were rather hard to come by, several of them have just popped up on the popular menswear e-commerce site MR PORTER.
While the full collection featured an assortment of polos, tees, jackets, headwear, and even socks done up in DHL’s brightly branded red and yellow colors, you can now get one of the tees, a short-sleeve polo, and one of the long-sleeve polos at mrporter.com.
The tee features a split design with a soft-jersey and piqué combo construction and the DHL and Vetements logo, while the short-sleeve polo offers a slim cut with multiple branding hits and a shipping label on the left sleeve and the long-sleeve polo a slouchy, oversized styled fit with the DHL logo and a waybill with a Zürich postal code on the bottom left rear. And while the prices might be steep, they’re likely nothing compared to what they’ll fetch on eBay once they sell out. Because let’s be real, you’re never actually going to wear them, right? RIGHT?
