Awmoo Water Pipe ($200)
Nothing helps elevate the perception of cannabis more than beautifully designed products and accessories, and this gorgeous creation by Awmoo is a perfect example.
Inspired by the classic DIY apple pipes you likely rigged up in high school, Awmoo is a gorgeous ceramic water pipe that looks just as good in the palm of your hand as it does as a coffee table centerpiece. In fact, one could easily mistake it for such if they weren’t the wiser. And with the careful thinking behind its design, it’s no wonder why.
Frustrated with many of the classic stoner pipes he’d come across at head shops, founder and designer Patrick Lupinski wanted to create a pipe he wasn’t ashamed of keeping out in his apartment. “l wanted to design a water pipe that looked like it belonged in my home,” he said. “Something I’d want to leave out on my coffee table rather than stash away in a draw.”
Even the name was carefully thought out, as the word “awmoo” stems from two guiding principles that inspire Patrick when he designs: AWareness and MOderation—”awmoo.”
As Patrick put it, “You become aware of the problem you’re trying to attack and solve it with moderation. Don’t over-design for the sake of adding decorative elements that don’t serve a purpose. Keep it minimal.”
Yes Patrick, we couldn’t agree more. Now if only everyone else in the space would take note, we’d have a lot more products like Awmoo to add to our collection. And our home.
