It’s been a while since we first learned of the new Adidas Originals by Alexander Wang collection back at New York Fashion Week (Spring/Summer) in September, but with an initial drop April 1st and the second and final drop of the collection happening this Saturday, it’s high time we brought it up again.

So what does the collection entail? Well, a lot. This isn’t just a couple pairs of kicks and a t-shirt/hoodie or two. This is an 84-piece apparel and footwear collection inspired by the concept of turning commonly accepted fashion and design rules completely on their heads. And quite literally, to say the least, as not only is the entire collection gender-neutral (aka unisex), but the actual logo itself—Adidas’s iconic trefoil logo—is now upside down on every article of clothing, becoming an almost entirely new symbol in the process and in-turn giving the collaboration it’s own unique identifier outside the obvious fashion-forward design aesthetics.

Speaking of which, the designs truly cover just about all your standard Adidas wares (and then some), with the first half of the collection that dropped April 1st consisting of sweatshirts, tracksuits, and terry shorts that appear to look inside-out and come in three very unisex colors—black, white, and gray, along with a collection of rather future-looking kicks that are sure to fetch thousands of dollars up on ebay once they sell out. And of course it wouldn’t be an Adidas collection without a nod to the sport that made them famous—soccer—and traditional “football” apparel is noticeable throughout, albeit with a fashionable Wang twist that includes loosely fit jersey tops, shorts, and tracksuits in colors like orange, indigo, maroon, blue, and white.

Meanwhile, the remainder of the collection dropping this Saturday will feature new basketball and skate kicks as well as The Logo, Patch, and Velour packs consisting of breathable fabrics and tops and bottoms available in colors like blue, black, white, green, and burgundy.

The Patch pack stitches together different fabrics from season one with embroidered and printed treatments across two jackets and a pair of track pants, all designed with Wang’s fashion-forward approach to sportswear. The Logo pack features classic Adidas Originals styles like hoodies, sweatshirts, long sleeves, and tees in black and white with three inside-out stripes and the new upside-down trefoil logo patched and embroidered along the front of each piece. And finally, the Velour pack consists of several short and long sleeve jersey-style tops made in vintage velour fabric with Adidas’s signature three-stripe pattern offset along the seams by inside-out stripes on the sleeves.

The entire collection was photographed by Juergen Teller in New York and features Rocco Ritchie (son of Guy Ritchie and Madonna) in his first-ever campaign, along with notable Alexander Wang favorites such as Hanne Gaby Odiele, Lexo Boling, Binx Walton, Luke Story, and Chris Fernandez.

You can view the first half of the collection online at either Adidas or Alexander Wang, with the rest of the collection dropping Saturday, April 15th at both brand websites, Adidas and Alexander Wang flagship locations, and at select retail outlets worldwide.
