While we certainly appreciate all the great technological innovations that have taken cannabis and cannabis-related products to a whole other level, we still have heart for some of the simpler, more basic pleasures in life, such as artisanal handmade goods and accessories.
Up until recently, you’d be hard-pressed to find these kinds of cannabis accessories outside of your local stoner headshop or Phish concert parking lot, and while we have nothing against those sort of items (hey, we love getting jibboo’d too), they aren’t exactly classy pieces you’d feel comfortable using or carrying in your everyday life, assuming that everyday life involves a day job outside of slinging $2 garlic grilled cheese sandwiches and used “vintage” tie-dyes. And that’s where Walnut Studio comes in.
Based in the recently legalized (and now even cloudier) state of Portland, the husband-wife duo behind this popular bespoke handmade leather goods company has just come out with a line of cannabis-related items and accessories perfect for today’s modern-day “Hemponair.”
Fittingly called “The Cannabis Collection,” it consists of a classy leather-made stash box (the “Classy Stash”), a leather “Doobie Tube,” a solid-brass joint tube, and even a handmade leather lighter case. Outside of the joint tube, all the items have been hand-stitched and hand-dyed for a natural vegetable tanned leather that gives them a super-vintagey look and feel rivaled only to your grandpa’s finest leather accoutrements (assuming he has/had as much class you do), and sure to last just as long as them too.
