In an effort to promote their 21-year-old single-malt whisky, world-renown scotch whisky brand Glenfiddich is partnering with Josh Peskowitz, former Bloomingdales fashion director and co-founder of the popular men’s concept shop Magasin, to create its first-ever menswear line via an exclusive capsule collection entitled “Glenfiddich’s Wardrobe XXI.”

The collection, set to debut this September, will be created by Mr. Peskowitz and a group of yet-to-be-announced designers with the aim of bringing the spirit of high-end fashion together with, well, the quality of high-end spirits such as that of Glenfiddich 21 Year Old.

And to make sure the collection reflects an honest interpretation of Scottish heritage and culture, Peskowitz actually traveled to Scotland to get a first-hand look at the various production methods of both Scottish kilt-making and Scottish whisky-making.

“One of the most inspiring things that I saw in Scotland was how a respect for tradition sat side-by-side with innovation at Glenfiddich’s facilities, to protect the integrity of the product—down to the preservation of their water source,” Peskowitz said. “Scotland was at the forefront of my mind when putting the collection together. Context is everything.”

Indeed it is, and for a better understanding of that context and a deeper look into what to expect from the collection, check out the video below.
