With all the formerly “infamous” celebrity cannabis smokers jumping into the now booming, quasi-legal marijuana market (Snoop Dogg, Willie Nelson, Whoopi!), it was only a matter of time before the biggest celebrity name associated with cannabis culture got into the game—Bob Marley.

Sure, he’s sadly no longer with us and hasn’t been now for decades, but that doesn’t mean his spirit and “rastafarian roots” can’t be. And thanks to a newly formed partnership between the Marley family and Seattle-based marijuana private-equity firm Privateer Holdings, those roots and spirit come to life (and money) in the form of Marley Natural, a new “lifestyle” brand that aims to put Bob Marley’s rastafarian legacy front and center.

Consisting of a line of smokeable cannabis (flower and oil), cannabis accessories (pipes, bowls, cases, etc.) and yes, even skin and body care products that combine cold-pressed hemp-seed oil and an assortment of Jamaican-sourced botanicals, the entire collection aims to create a sustainable (quite literally) full-on lifestyle brand that Bob would truly be proud of. Or at least as proud as the famously anti-corporate, anti-capitalist musician would be if he was still with us today. Ah, the irony.

Either way, the entire collection looks, sounds, and, from what we hear, smells great, and is already making waves throughout the industry. We’ll be sure to post separate reviews on some of the items in the weeks and months to come, but in the meantime you can currently purchase the collection in select stores and online at marleynaturalshop.com.
