How do you top last week’s bloody “Battle of the Bastards”? By celebrating Ramsay’s demise and giving Season 6 of the greatest show on earth a proper send off with a proper pairing—beer and cannabis.

And thanks to Ommegang Brewery, it’s been made a whole lot easier with their Game of Thrones beer collection. While there are currently six different flavors in the rotation, we settled on the “Iron Throne” blonde ale and “Take the Black Stout,” well, stout, as our celebratory libations of choice.

Considering the blonde ale was initially conceived after the first blonde Lannister to rule the Iron Throne (King Joffrey, may he NOT rest in peace), we thought it only fitting to pair it with King’s Kush, a potent strain that’s sure to mellow out even the deadliest of kings. And with its sweet and flowery flavor profile, it’s a perfect compliment to the malty sweetness and light, fruity spiciness of this Iron Throne blonde.

Next, we chose the dark, woodsy flavor of Take the Black Stout and paired it with the woody, earthy flavors of the hard-to-find Black Widow strain. While this strain definitely has a strong outdoor, earthy flavor profile, it also has a sweet taste and smell that, combined with its earthy tones, pairs great with the sweet chocolate and caramel flavors of the robust Take the Black.

And there you have it. Two great pairings for a proper season finale send off. Now just make sure there’s enough hound’s meat to go around for all (wait, what?).
