- Freemans Sporting Club Made in Japan Collection ($265-$395)
To celebrate the opening of their second flagship store in Tokyo, New York City-based menswear brand Freemans Sporting Club has partnered up with Japanese label Loopwheeler to create a limited-edition “Made in Japan” clothing collection.
If you’re not familiar with Loopwheeler, they’re known for making some of the softest, highest quality sweats around by applying the traditional “Tsuriami-Ki” technique of cloth making. This technique uses vintage 1920’s loop-wheeling looms that draw air in rather than pull and stretch the fabric, thereby producing extremely soft fleece that’s rather hard to duplicate. The Made in Japan collection uses this technique and applies it to t-shirts, crewnecks, hoodies, and cardigans all under the Freemans Sporting Club label.
The collection is available now both online and in their new Tokyo location, should you just happen to find yourself lost in translation.
