Today’s summer Friday cocktail & cannabis pairing comes to us from Ken Koseki, mixologist at Toro NYC and director of 13th Street Cocktails’ New York operations. Rather than pairing up another craft cocktail, Ken decided to go with a nice Lambrusco Rosso from Lini 910.

If you’re not familiar with Lambrusco, it’s traditionally a sweet, rich, and slightly sparkling (or “Frizzante,” as the Italians like to call it) wine that’s native to the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. Compared to some of the more common Lambruscos, the Lini 910 Labrusca is a lot drier and crisper, yet still manages to retain that fruity, balanced flavor that’s characteristic of typical Lambruscos. Enjoyed cold, it’s a perfect drink for a lazy summer afternoon barbecue or chill, and its heavy tones of berry, coupled with the traditionally rich grape flavors of the Lambrusco, are a perfect pairing with the grape and berry flavor profile of Grape Ape cannabis.
