STRAIN OVERVIEW

Space Queen. The name conjures up an image of a beautiful female from another world. Another planet. And, well, she is, so to speak—albeit not in the traditional sense. No, this queen is a female marijuana plant. A cross-strain of Cinderella 99 (C-99) and Romulan, Space Queen takes her name from her parents, the queen-to-be Cinderella and the Romulans, a fictitious alien tribe from the sci-fi classic Star Trek. And while marrying Cinderella to a Romulan might not exactly sound like a match made in heaven, in this case, it most certainly is. With all pun intended.

If you ever had the chance to taste her parent strains individually, you’ll truly appreciate how the mechanisms of hereditary transmission and the different variations of inherited characteristics apply in the plants. Space Queen gets her deliciously sweet and citrus flavors from Cinderella 99, while her earthy, haze-like stone and taste come from the Romulan. Both are known for being exceptional strains, with the Sativa coming from Cinderella and the Indica coming from the Romulan. But what makes Space Queen even more special is the combination of her wonderfully citrus scent along with the gorgeous crystallization of her buds—buds that shine brighter than Cinderella’s glass slipper itself. And as soon as you crack those buds open and release their trichomes, you’re immediately overtaken by that sweet, pineapple scent and earthy, citrus taste. Not a bad combination to help take your mind to another place. Or planet.

THE HIGH

Being a Sativa-dominant hybrid, you’ll notice a somewhat intense cerebral buzz on the outset, followed by a pleasant, moderate body buzz from the Indica side once the high settles in. However, because Space Queen is still a predominantly Sativa strain, you won’t get too much of that heavy couch-lock feeling

MEDICAL BENEFITS

Besides her gorgeous looks and sweet, citrusy smell and taste, Space Queen also offers up a number of medical benefits. With her strong cerebral effects, Space Queen is recommended to alleviate symptoms like stress and anxiety along with chronic depression, adult ADD and ADHD, and PTSD symptoms. Space Queen has also been found to help with arthritis, migraines, and nausea.
