Magic Number Beer (n/a)
For all those beer snobs out there who are just as snobby with their brew as they are their buds (guilty here), there’s now a product that combines both of the them into one single package. Or rather, bottle. Sort of.
Magic Number Beer mixes two of our favorite pastimes together to create one glorious product—cannabis brew! Granted, this one’s of the non-alcoholic ginger variety, but it still packs a punch with three different strengths of THC available in 3 mg, 10 mg, and 25 mg bottles. All recipes are made completely from scratch using Peruvian ginger, cane sugar, and even locally roasted Guatemalan coffee beans (Bonsai Beans) for an upcoming cold brew version. And while there’s no alcohol in them, you can certainly mix in your own for buzzworthy takes on classic ginger-based cocktails like a Moscow Mule, a Dark and Stormy, or even a Whiskey Ginger.
As for where to get your hands on one, that might prove to be a bit tougher. The beverages were available in 19 dispensaries across the state of Oregon up until October 1st, which is unfortunately when the state’s edible laws changed and they had to be removed from shelves. However, they do hope to be back in stores some time later this summer.
In the meantime, rumor has it there’s still a limited supply available at the Bloom Well dispensary in Bend, Oregon, should you have trouble waiting that long. Then again, good things do come to those who wait, and apparently the folks behind Magic Number have several new and improved tricks—er, treats—up their sleeve in the form of several new flavors they hope be debuting in 2018.
